Upload/Download Sites for Listeners & Musicians

In this section we will review specific online musical outlets. I lump these together with online radio stations because many of these sites allow you to in effect create your own radio station or playlists as long as you want. Names that are not yet links are still under construction.

Music sites of this type are of two types: for listeners or for musicians. Most musician sites also welcome listeners, so if you're a listener instead of a musician, hop on over to some of these for some great music - usually free!

You want a good balance of both. Listener sites expose your music to a large market of potential fans. Musician sites expose your work to labels, managers, promotion companies and the other professionals in the music business.

Generally, you will not get signed or noticed by "the industry" until you first get noticed by the fans.

The list below contains both types, and our reviews are honest and specific. Some get good reviews, some get bad reviews. I accept no money for doing these reviews, so you get my honest opinion, based on my actual experiences with each site.
