THE MUSIK-ZONE

I do web sites for several musicians, and help many of them in other ways such as promotion. Often it's done for free - being a struggling musician myself, I understand the financial challenges. So one thing I do request is that if I help Person A and Person B, I expect them all to help each other. I think of it as a music co-operative. You help me sell my music and I'll help you sell yours, and everyone else I help will also help each other. Here are the music stores for a few of my musician friends. Please help support Indie music ... it's the way to go to avoid the Digital Rights Management (DRM) dictatorship of the big record companies that rip off the songwriters/musicians and the consumer as well. When we start out, we want our music to be heard. We'll let you listen to it for free - not just 15-30 seconds, but the whole song. While it's easy enough - if you have a little techno know-how - to rip a song off and pass it around, we hope you have enough decency and respect for what we're trying to do to actually shell out a few cents to legally download our music and strike another blow against the huge global music conglomerates and strike a blow for musical freedom! Already, around the world, even some of the biggest bands, songwriters and performers are leaving the iron fists of the record companies and turning to the Internet to let their music do what it was meant to do. I invite independent songwriters, musicians and labels from around the world to join us in creating a global music co-op created to help aspiring musicians be the most they can be. Let us help you promote your music and boost your sales. Music cries out to be heard ... help it! |
